Filipinos love ice cream. It’s one of our favorite sweet treats and we enjoy eating them anytime (even if it’s not yet dessert time). Yesterday, Eat’s a Small World was invited by Jollibee to taste their new product: the Jollibee Salted Caramel Choco Sundae.
When it comes to affordable yet delicious desserts, Jollibee is one of the most preferred choices for a lot of people in the Philippines. Who doesn’t love their original yet unforgettable sundae dessert treats such as the Banana Langka, Peach Mango, Rocky Road Overload, Rocky Road Brownie, Halo Halo and Strawberry? Mmmm, I love them all (although the Mango Caramel Sundae which I think came out in 2007 will remain to be my most favourite). Yes, I grew up with this well-loved, home-grown Filipino brand and I only have good memories about Jollibee.
Starting March 1, 2017 (Yes, it’s today!), Jollibee added this luscious Salted Caramel Choco Sundae to their menu as a new dessert offering for everybody.
The Jollibee Salted Caramel Choco Sundae is simple. It’s the perfect solution to those who are kinda hooked on caramel sundae and chocolate sundae. Who would have thought that the marriage of these two flavours will create a simple yet unique sundae treat? In addition, the salty aftertaste was one of the reasons why I am loving this new twist. The salt seems to balance the sweetness of the caramel, eventually removing the “umay” factor.
